- 1/4 cup dry coconut
- 1 teaspoon black pepper corns
- 1 teaspoon cloves
- 1 whole cardamom
- 1/2 inch cinnamon stick
- 5-6 garlic cloves
- 1 inch ginger piece

- For the gravy masala, dry roast onions, whole garam masalas, coconut till slightly brown. Once cooled completely, add garlic, ginger, and coriander stems and grind into a fine paste.



- In a vessel or kadhai, heat oil. Add the fine paste, salt, turmeric, chili powder, and mix well. Once the masala leaves oil, add the chicken pieces and little water. Cover and cook for 5-7 minutes on medium flame.


- Simmer for 5 minutes and garnish with some coriander leaves.
